Garmin launched its music-focused VivoActive 3 fitness watch last year. It didn’t have support for Spotify, though, which is the world’s most popular music streaming service. That might have prevented some customers from picking up this device. Not anymore. It has been confirmed that Spotify is finally available on the Garmin VivoActive 3 fitness watch.
Some of Garmin’s other fitness watches already have support for Spotify so it was only a matter of time before the VivoActive 3 Music got it as well. However, Garmin didn’t say why this has taken so long. It’s pertinent to note here that the Garmin Fenix 5 Plus series and the Forerunner 645 Music models got support for Spotify in October last year.
For Spotify and Garmin Vivoactive 3, I had been used another way to listen to Spotify music on Garmin watch. That is to use a third-party tool DRmare Spotify Music Converter Mac to do that. By using this tool, I can easily get music from Spotify and then play Spotify music on Garmin watch anytime on the go.
While the Fenix 5 Plus series is the first to get the app, it should be coming soon to the Forerunner 645 Music and Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music since these watches also support offline music playback. Wait for a while and TunesKit will move Spotify music tracks to your computer. Finally, you can upload the downloaded Spotify music files to your smartwatches and get smartwatches Spotify offline. 4 Get Spotify on Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music. Connect your Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music to your computer by using the included USB cable. On your computer. FORERUNNER® 745. GPS smartwatch featuring built-in sports apps, contactless payments, music and all-day health monitoring. Get everything updated. Before you get started you will need to make sure everything is up to date. Vivoactive 3 users can download the Spotify app via the Connect IQ store in the Garmin Connects app.
That being said, VivoActive 3 Music owners can finally access Spotify on their smartwatches. If they have a Premium account they are freed from having to carry a phone around with them for streaming. The Premium subscription allows them to download tracks for offline listening.
The fitness watch can store up to 500 tracks. Users just have to create playlists and sync them with the smartwatch over Wi-Fi. They can then be accessed using the Spotify app on the VivoActive 3 Music. Spotify’s updated app for this device is now available for download from the Garmin Connect IQ store.

Garmin’s partnership with Spotify was announced back in October, with the popular music app available on two of its higher-end models, and runners celebrated being able to enjoy their music on the go without having to strap their phone to their arms. The inclusion of the Vivoactive 3 Music makes the music interface that much more accessible.
The partnership allows users to download and store playlists, sync their Garmin with their smartphone using Wifi, and listen to music via the Spotify app on the same gadget they use to track their mileage and pace.
